As an alternative to previously delivered coatings containing chromium trioxide, we offer our customers the coating of aluminium plates using Li-chromium 100. This coating is applied to the rear side of the aluminium plates and is a high-quality substitute for coatings containing chromium trioxide. The front sides of the aluminium plates can be anodised in different colours.
This coating provides optimum corrosion protection and at the same time, it acts as a primer for adhesives, lacquers and powder coatings during further processing. Additionally, it has a lower electric surface resistivity which enables a lower contact resistance for contacting. In order to achieve an even surface, the aluminium plates are degreased and pickled before the coating process.
On 1 July 2006, the RoHS directive for electric and electronic equipment (Restriction of certain Hazardous Substances 2002/95/EC), as well as the directive 2002/96/EC took effect. These directives regulate the permissible amounts of chromium trioxide in construction materials. Pursuant to these directives, construction materials may contain a max. chromium trioxide amount of 0.1 % because this compound has a mutagenic and carcinogenic effect.
Therefore, it is necessary to replace the treatment methods which have been used until now with alternatives which are free from chromium trioxide. With our innovative Li-chromium 100 coating, we are able to complete the range of our previous treatment processes in an ideal way. Besides aluminium plates, we also treat blanks and small parts provided by you.
